I think I gained 5 pounds over Thanksgiving this year--I'd like to think it's a sign of a successful Thanksgiving! We continued our tradition of visiting my mom, Grandma Jane, in PA for the holiday. It just wouldn't be right spending it anywhere else--plus, I think my mom makes the yummiest Thanksgiving in the world. This trip also marked Owen's first real car ride over an hour, and his first overnight visit as well. On the way there, he slept the entire time and never made a single peep. We even made it to Grandma Jane's in record time since we didn't have to make any stops. Our dinner was delicious, just the way I like it. Caroline's boyfriend Robby showed up and surprised her too. Earlier in the week when my mom had been talking to Isabella on the phone, she requested a purple grape cake. I have never heard of a grape cake, nor has she ever eaten one, but my mom and sister were up to the challenge, and when we arrived home--ta da...purple grape cake (aka yellow cake dyed with food coloring, with grapes on top). I happened to think it was delicious. The rest of our visit was spent eating leftovers (LOTS of leftovers!), doing a little shopping, watching movies, relaxing, and meeting up for dinner with my dad's good friend George and his wife Annette. The ride back home was almost as easy as the ride there. We hit a little traffic, which added an hour or so to our trip, but Owen slept most of the way and Isabella passed out too. Caroline decided to return with us (long story, but she just got a great job and is staying with us for awhile). So I'd rate our Thanksgiving 08 a success, and here are a few pics to enjoy!
